Want List

Want List

Below are some things on my current want list:

July Wants

July Wants by ncormier5033 featuring a red shirt

The black ankle skinnies from Free People are something I actually really need. All my black skinnies are fading…..again. The red top, vest, shoes, bag and glasses are things I can see myself paring with so many things – see me convincing myself to buy them right now ;) . As for the Adobe Premiere book (a little random – yes) I want to get back into video editing and I absolutely love the “Classroom in a Book” books. They bring you through lessons so easily and when finished I really feel like I know the ins and outs of the program. So I am going to now attempt to stop myself from buying everything here today.

From Where I Stand

From Where I Stand

Below are a couple of ootd’s that I posted to Instagram lately. Both pairs of shoes are fairly new and I had been eyeing for a whileeee. The first pair are the ‘Abbe’ lace espadrilles from Tory Burch. They are super comfortable and don’t feel like they are falling off my heels (which seems to happen to me alot with espadrilles). They aren’t too expensive and I think will be great for this spring and summer. My flannel is from Victoria’s Secret PINK (very old) and my ankle jeggings are from American Eagle. The next pair are the Violette peep toe, cut out heels from Shoemint. I was on the search for a peep toe zip up heel in nude after seeing THESE Diesel heels.  I got a great deal with these pumps and I think they are prettier than the Diesel brand heels.  There isn’t much of a platform but they are still surprisingly comfortable to walk in (I wouldn’t go and 8 hour day standing in them though). My top is from TJ Maxx and my jeans and jacket are from American Eagle.

Hardware colors….The struggle is real..

Hardware colors….The struggle is real..

Have you ever found the greatest bag, shoes or clothing to put it down because the hardware color. For some it may not be a big deal but for me I cant stand when my hardware is clashing. Gold is ideal but black….black is best ;). As I was browsing amazon I stumbled upon a leafing and paint pens. The struggle is over!! I can now customize the hardware on anything with these pens! I got these Circus by Sam Edelman Harley boots on Piperlime for $30 when they were having their 50% off final sale offer. Here’s how it worked.

What you need:

-Paint/Leafing Pen (Gold - Black)

The before…

Basically you will get the pen going by pushing down on the felt tip a few times on a piece of paper until you see paint. Then carefully paint on the hardware! So easy!

The end result!

Apparently I Can Cook…. Kinda

For my birthday I got a Cuisinart Griddler (link here) which I have wanted pretty badly lately since I am obsessed with paninis and Pinterest :) Below are the first paninis I made, which were delicious!!!  (Recipe for top panini HERE)

Panini Party!

Yesterday I made these great quinoa cakes with lemon dill sauce- they are like a healthy version of potato latkes. Soooo good! (Recipe HERE)

Lastly I made a Tex-Mex casserole which was also great but next time I plan to cool it on the red pepper powder. (Recipe HERE)

Current Wants Needs

Current Wants Needs

So I have stumbled upon a few things over my holiday gift search (mostly on pinterest, lol), that I currently am dying to get my hands on. See below:

Needs
Needs by ncormier5033

Those Warby Parker Mallory glasses I have had my eye on for quite awhile now. I am kicking myself now for not buying the Warby voucher when it was on Gilt City a few months ago… oh well. That skirt and sneaks though, gorgeous. I am currently on the prowl for a cheaper alternative to the skirt. It is beautiful but there is no way to justify an $160 skirt that is by all means NOT a timeless piece.  Once I recover from the holidays and moving into the new place one/some of these items will hopefully be at my doorstep :) .

Snow Storm OOTD

Snow Storm OOTD

So I live in New England and like we all know the weather is unpredictable and usually sucks… We got about 5 inches on Sunday night and then last night we got probably another 4 inches. Needless to say I now need to start wearing warmer jackets and boots despite only getting  to wear my new cut out booties for a measly 8 weeks :( . H&M had a big sale over the past week or so and I made out pretty good! I got this great bouclé coat for $16!! Down from $60! Its not the warmest coat but I’m transitioning! Give a girl a break ;)
